These terms and conditions govern your use of the Big iDeas Studio website and services. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Our services are provided by iDeas3D Studio (Pty) Ltd, trading as Big iDeas Studio, Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa.

Big iDeas Studio provides custom 3D printing services. You can create a print by:

• Drawing flow — uploading a drawing or sketch that we convert into a 3D model using AI, which you then approve before we print
• Upload model — uploading your own 3D model file (.STL, .OBJ, or .GLB) for us to print
• Provide 3MF — uploading a print-ready .3MF file for direct printing

All prints are produced in Somerset West and shipped within South Africa.

An order is placed when you complete checkout and payment is confirmed via PayFast. You will receive an email confirmation once your order is received.

For drawing and model uploads, you are required to review and approve the 3D design on-screen before proceeding to checkout. By approving the design, you confirm that the model matches your expectations.

Standard turnaround is 5–7 business days from the date of payment confirmation. This includes model preparation, printing, quality inspection, and handover to the courier.

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary during busy periods or due to courier delays outside our control. We will communicate any significant delays via email.

Payment is processed securely via PayFast, a South African payment gateway. We accept credit/debit cards, EFT, and other payment methods available through PayFast.

Full payment is required upfront. Your order enters production only after payment has been confirmed.

Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

We offer two delivery options at checkout:

• Courier to door — delivered to your address via The Courier Guy
• Pudo locker — collected from your nearest Pudo locker

Delivery fees are calculated at checkout and added to your order total. Risk in the goods passes to you upon handover to the courier.

Custom printed items cannot be refunded once printing has started, as each print is made to order specifically for you.

However, we stand behind the quality of our work. If your print arrives:

• Defective (broken, failed layers, structural issues)
• Significantly different from the approved 3D preview

We will, at our discretion, either reprint your order at no charge or issue a full refund. Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order with photos of the issue.

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, incorrect size selection made by the customer, or minor colour variations inherent to FDM 3D printing.

We guarantee that your print will match the 3D model you approved at checkout. If it doesn't, contact us and we will make it right.

Due to the nature of FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) 3D printing, minor layer lines and surface texture are normal and not considered defects.

You own your original design. By uploading a drawing, image, or 3D model file, you confirm that you have the rights to that content and grant us a limited licence to use it solely for the purpose of producing your order.

We own our process. iDeas3D Studio (Pty) Ltd retains ownership of the AI-driven 3D conversion methodology, printing processes, and any proprietary tooling used to produce your order.

You may not upload designs that infringe on third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrighted characters, trademarks, or patented designs. We reserve the right to refuse orders that appear to infringe on third-party rights.

Our liability to you is limited to the total value of your order. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of our services or any delay or failure in delivery caused by third-party couriers.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Western Cape, South Africa.
